Over the past four weeks, over 200 pupils visited The Ellesmere Port C of E College from four local primary schools (Christchurch, Westminster, Wolverham and Cambridge Road).
The primary children took part in the event which focused on the parables of Jesus – topics that many of them were currently learning about. Pupils were involved in a range of activities including an interactive parable experience as well as undertaking a variety of hands on workshops focusing on how the parables of Jesus can be understood today.
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved and feedback from the Primary Schools was excellent. A huge thanks is to be given to all of our RS ambassadors and Christian Value Reps who ran the project.
Mr Shelton, Head of Religious Studies said: “It was a pleasure to have so many younger guests in TEPCEC, from Year 3’s through to Year 6’s. It was also lovely to have our students from Year 7 to Year 9 develop their leadership and teamwork skills and have them be front and centre in the work we are doing in helping local children learn. We received excellent feedback from our visitors and look forward to welcoming them again at the College.”

“I’d love to do everything again as it was amazing!”
