Never Say Die – Easter Celebrations

Never say die – Easter Celebrations

On Tuesday 16 April, the Ellesmere Port C of E College were pleased to welcome the director for the education for Chester Diocese, and FFET Director Mr Chris Penn to lead our thoughts in our Easter Celebration.  We were also really pleased to welcome Year 4 from Christchurch CE Primary School who came and sang an Easter song as well as share with us a reading from the Bible.

During the service TEPCEC’s Music group performed the Hymn, “When I survey” and we Mr Penn shared with us his message “Never say die”, reflecting on how Jesus did die on Easter but came back alive again, and how this spirit should also encapsulate everything we do, even on difficult days.

Mr Shelton, Head of Religious Studies at TEPCEC said “It is always lovely to join with other church schools, and having Christchurch with us added to the occasion.  Our own pupils read and performed exceptionally and the message of Easter was clearly communicated.”

Plans are already in place for next years Remembrance service with an army Padre already booked to speak with us as we continue further our journey on what it means to be an excellent Church of England school.
