Uniform Consultation Outcome

First of all, the College would like to thank the parents and carers involved in the uniform consultation for their time and valuable input to the process, your thoughts and opinions were invaluable when making the decision regarding the new uniform that will be in place from 1st September 2019.

As you can see, the Royal Blue option was the most popular, along with the all navy PE Kit.

New Uniform – Royal Blue

PE Kit – Navy

Contribution to costs

It is extremely important to the Frank Field Educational Trust that uniform is both high quality and affordable. With this in mind the following items will be paid for by the Trust for all students:

Uniform A                                             Uniform B

1 x TEPCEC Blazer                               1 x TEPCEC Blazer

1 x Navy Jumper/Tank Top            1 x Navy Jumper/Tank Top

1 x Tie

The purchase of these items by the Trust leaves the PE kit, skirt or trousers, white revere collar blouse or shirt, black ankle or knee-high socks or tights and black shoes to be purchased by parents. An exception here has been made for the current Year 10 students who will be going into Year 11 from September. From the feedback you have given the Trust have made the decision that they will also purchase the skirt and PE Kit in addition to the items stated above.

The supplier of the uniform will be Uniformity Clothing.  Uniformity Clothing will stock TEPCEC branded uniform at its retail store in Handbridge, Chester. They will also offer an online free delivery and return service which will also include pop up shops at various times throughout the year. More details regarding this are outlined below.

Uniformity are very competitive with their prices and it was important to us to work with a company that offered reasonable prices for the uniform they sold.  A full uniform list has been attached.

You will note that there is no requirement to buy a specific College bag for your child, however I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the bag your child brings with them every day should be of a suitable size to carry A4 books and their PE Kit.

Purchasing uniform

You are able to visit Uniformity Monday to Friday, where you will be able to make use of the changing room facilities, purchase and take away there and then. In general they do not open on Saturdays, however they are open for five Saturdays during the summer months to help with the “Back To School” rush.

The Retail outlet is also backed up by an on line service www.uniformityschools.com where parents can order and pay on line. Here, there are three ways to obtain your uniform. The options are, call at the store to collect, delivered free of charge to the school or delivery to home for a small fee. Delivery to school would be once a week and all deliveries would come in a sealed bag with the parents/pupils name on.

Uniformity will be holding sizing events at the College. At the event there will be sample items for your child to try on and orders can be made on the day, reducing the need to travel to the store. I am meeting with the supplier next week and once we have confirmed the dates we will let you know when they are.

Once again we would like to thank you for your contribution to this process. We know that the students will continue to be exceptionally smart and wear the new uniform with pride.

Should you have any further question, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
